RESEARCH INTERESTS

Douglas MacMillan’s research interests include the recorder in the 19th-century, the flageolet and English octave flutes.

He is working on a comprehensive study of the organology and repertoire of octave flutes in England in the period 1660–1800 whilst continuing his studies into the nineteenth-century recorder and flageolet.
